Go to the link above and read some more about the moa.
Make a poster digitally about the moa using the evidence included on the site.  In your poster show how the fact you have included was based on a specific piece of evidence.  eg Moa ate grubs and seeds.  The evidence for this was found in the contents of their gizzards.

Read the information on this page and answer the following questions

Explain in a way that you can understand what acid rain is.

Make a list of all the negative consequences of acid rain - provide a brief note to explain each consequence (ie add a little detail)

Choose one case study from the section that talks about what damage acid rain has done and investigate it further.  As you write a short explanation of your case study, underline or highlight any of the consequences you have noted in your list in question 2

THE GIVER NOVEL STUDY GROUP
Make sure you have read up and including chapter 10 before completing the activity below.
Jonas' community could seem to some reader like 'Utopia.'  To other readers is may seem like 'Dystopia.'
Using some examples from the text to support your point of view decide which one you think it is.  Make sure you explain WHY you think this.  You should expect to write at least 4 paragraphs, each of which has a main point and supporting evidence.

ACTIVITY 2
Make a character web showing all the main characters in 'The Giver' and including some biographical facts about them.  For example their age, their job, their relationship to another character.  

ACTIVITY 3
Memories - Prior to being given this activity you need to read from Chapter 11 to and including chapter 13
Make a digital poster of the memories you would want to keep if you were to be a receiver of memory like Jonas.
